Nothing very interesting in there right now. Snacks, diapers and wipes are it.

  2. Kristi Renout says:

Interesting diaper story for tonight, is the fact that the poop wasn’t in one. It was in the tub while the two kids were having their bath. Yuck!

  3. Kristi Renout says:

Best tip for using wipes? I use them for everything that needs to be washed while we’re out. Hands, faces, toys, everything!

  4. Florence Cochrane says:

I don’t have a diaper bag but hoping to win for my neice

  5. Florence Cochrane says:

My funnies story was when i left my nephew to baby sit and he called because the little one did a number two that was up her back.

  6. Florence Cochrane says:

I find many uses for baby wipes. I keep them in the car for quick cleanups.

  7. The most interesting thing in my diaper bag at the moment… would probably be a vial of nail polish, pink with sprinkles. Why you ask?…. When my daughter gets a tantrum in the middle of the store or something… I pull this out, and paint her nails. It changes her mind rapidly, and distracts her for a while. Long enough for me to be done with whatever I was doing…. !!! Works every time.

  8. A diaper story .. hmm … When I just gave birth to my son, my first child, I obviously didn’t know anything more than a textbook line or two. And when my son had his first soiled diaper, I reached for him and while I started to clean him up.. He decided he wasn’t done. He continued to go for it.. oh my goodness, more than I would anticipate his body to be holding !! I called the nurse, because at this point, it’s everywhere. The little diaper is full, the sheets.. his onesie.. and it was black and yucky… the meconium stuff… I will remember this day forever. I felt so dumb ! The nurse kept laughing all the while she cleaned him up!

  9. Last comment… I use baby wipes for 2 other things quite regularly. It makes for an awesome dust picker upper. Good for the shelves, computer screens, desk tops, in the car, anywhere really. And also, I use the wipes to clean my makeup. I sometimes have eyeliner, and in the morning, it makes a little smudge around the eyes. Those wipes clean this up pretty easily! Great for makeup cleaning!

  10. The most interesting thing in my diaper bag right now is a flashing wand, as that’s what seems to keep both my son (21 months) and daughter (5 months) quiet when changing diapers.

  11. When my son was about 5 months old he had a serious diaper explosion while out shopping along Queen Street West. It was so bad that it was leaking out of his onesie and I could see it in the stroller seat. Since none of the stores had proper facilities/change rooms, I had no choice but to make a run for home which thankfully was a 10-15 minute walk. Being a first time mother, I was truly horrified and fearful that he’d scream along the walk home and being in the state he was in, there was no way I could lift him out of his stroller.
My fear came true, he screamed and screamed until I could no longer take it, so I whipped into the park at Osgoode Hall, tucked myself in a discreet area on the grass and whipped out my change mat in an effort to change him, clothes and all! It was a bit difficult but what made it WORSE was that the squirrels decided they wanted to come out from the bush and have a peep, super close… so I must have looked like a fine one trying to change my son and shoo away the squirrels at the same time… NOT one of my finest moments :)
Needless to say, he got changed and I placed some spit-up cloths over the dirty stroller and we finally got home safe and clean :)

  12. In addition to using baby wipes to clean hands and food court tables, baby wipes are great for removing the residue from your tea cups that are hard to come off when washed :)

The most interesting thing in my diaper bag is a granola bar!

  14. Cheryl (@loucheryl) says:

When my son was just 2 weeks old, I was changing his poopy diaper but he wasn’t done yet and pooped went flying across the room before I could get the clean diaper on him.

  15. Christina Elson says:

The coolest thing I have right now in my diaper bag is these elmo face containers to hold the kids snacks! The lids come off and they become a great toy to let the kids play with.

  16. Cheryl (@loucheryl) says:

I also use baby wipes for cleaning my son’s hands at restaurants and parks.

  17. Christina Elson says:

Yesterday just after changing my son, my father inlaw called to say he would be stopping by! Ten minutes he was there and my twins were jumping all over him! He said “Landon is very wet” said really I just changed him! My son had gone and some how managed to get one leg out of the diaper and because he was so excited to see poppa he peed all over him!

  18. Christina Elson says:

I use baby wipes for everything even my older kid! And I will be honest “yes have used baby wipes when at the soccer field and the bush was my only option”! Lol

  19. Pamela Mills says:

Just cleaned it out…so nothing interesting at the moment. Unless of course, my oldest child has decided to put something in there – like plastic grapes.

  20. Pamela Mills says:

I use baby wipes on everything. Will probably still buy them even once the wee one is out of diapers. Cleaning white running shoes is a great use.

  21. My diaper bag is going to double as my purse so it will include a small sewing kit.

  22. With boys it’s always fun when they decide to pee mid diaper change!

  23. Baby wipes are great for make up removal.

  24. I don’t really have anything interesting in my diaper bag now.. Odd socks :-)

  25. My funniest/disgusting diaper story is when my daughter when thru the stage of taking off her diaper when she was down for a nap.. One time I went in and there was a bunch of little pebbles on the floor.. Funny now that she doesn’t do that anymore..

  26. I also use baby wipes to keep the bathroom tidy, I like to use them to wipe the counter or toilet.

  27. Jessica D says:

In my diaper bag …. Crushed fish crackers and a half eaten granola bar ! Lol

  28. The most interesting thing would be a camera to capture the special moments!

  29. The funniest story would be rushing out with a diaper bag that didn’t have any diapers in it!

  30. Use baby wipes to clean public tables (eg, restaurants, food courts)

  31. SweetPanda says:

The most interesting thing in my diaper bag is mini bag of chocolate chips cookies. Either I can eat it while I am hungry or I can use it to draw the attention of my kids

  32. SweetPanda says:

I remember that when my baby boy was born (I already have an elder daughter), I thought that I was already an experienced mom, so I changed diaper as usual, but then I did not expect my baby boy would pee while I change him and his dad got all wet since he was standing behind where his head was.

  33. SweetPanda says:

I use baby wipes to clean high chairs in the restaurants before I put my kids in them

  34. Jennifer Perry says:

My funniest diaper story would have to be the first time my child had poop everywhere on her….all the way up her back…could never figure out who babies do that
