How often do you come across a post that makes you feel something? That makes you feel inspired?
So much of what I read online amuses me or captures me for moments until the words are done but then every once in a while there is a post… that post that leaves you with something.
As if you’ve taken a piece of what you’ve read and a piece of the person who wrote it and carry it with you.
This week, that post for me was One Year by Jill @ The Little King. Jill is the mother to Rachel, Cordelia and Kingsley, a sincerely adorable toddler who also happens to have Spina Bifida.
Jill’s post entitled “One Year” recalls Kingsley’s decompression surgery in November 2010. With photos and words that stab at my heart Jill has given me images of hope and love that I am carrying with me.
The world needs more warrior moms like Jill. The ones who love their children for who they are and battle for them every single day without ever giving in.
Jill’s words inspire me often and I urge you all to take a piece of what she has written here and here to carry with you.
What inspired you this week?

So sweet that you have featured my Sister here. She is one incredible Mama! I love that this world of blogging has provided her with so much hope and inspiration and in turn she does that for others. Kingsley is one delicious little dude, isn’t he!
Maija!! That is so sweet! Most days, it’s not hard to be the mother of a kid as amazing as Kingsley is. He really does inspire me on a daily basis to be a better parent and to DO things because I can! And months like we had last year inspire me to appreciate every day that we aren’t reliving that.
One of these days, I’m going to use you as inspiration to get my career ambitions back on track
I am so glad you posted about this, I can’t wait to go read.
