Remember a few weeks ago when I wrote about being a homemaker AND a career woman? Well that describes Michelle perfectly! I am amazed by her daily and when I learned she was pregnant with their third child when her first two boys were two and under I all but bowed down to her.
She’s a busy momma, a busy career woman and a shift worker’s wife so it was inevitable that we would become friends.
This is Michelle’s blogging debut and while she may blame me for her Pinterest addiction if the blogging bug bites, that’s all her…
Make sure you follow Michelle on Pinterest because she has LOTS of great stuff on there and is adding more every single day!

I was invited to Pinterest by Maija, with the warning, “don’t blame me if you get addicted.”
I’m a mother of 3 boys all under the age of 3.5 years and married to shift worker. I didn’t believe I had any time to spare on a website where people just swapped ideas and recipes.
Well, I should have listened and now I think I’m the real definition of addicted to a website. My diet has gone by the way side while I’m experimenting new things. Yes Pinterest offers all kinds of healthy recipes, but these ones are more fun.
I’ve become such a fan I now post pictures to my facebook page of “what I made from Pinterest” and thus, Maija asked me to write this as a guest on her blog.
We had a busy weekend with guests staying over, so who better to try out recipes on right? Here they are, and they were all made in one weekend!
I thought these would be a real hit especially with the kids. They love bananas and they love chocolate and peanut butter right? It was super easy, chunk banana, melt chocolate and peanut butter together and dip and freeze. Enjoy?
Verdict: Recipe says to make sure they are completely frozen and the bananas taste like ice cream. My kids (and I) couldn’t bite into them and had to wait until they thawed somewhat to bite into them causing the chocolate to be soft and melt.
Next time: I don’t think I’ll let them freeze completely, just let the chocolate freeze and serve them immediately.

This recipe said it was ridiculously embarrassingly easy. I second that. I actually made this twice in one weekend (for different guests) Dice green onions, tomatoes add olive oil, feta cheese and Greek seasoning – done!
Verdict: Even the kids liked this one. It was so easy and I have already given the recipe out twice!
Next Time: I’d buy 2 baguettes because this dip goes a long way!
Cake Batter Rice Krispy Treats
Rice Krispies, sprinkles, marshmallows and cake batter. How can you go wrong?
Verdict: It was rock hard and when we microwaved to make it somewhat edible, it tasted just like normal rice krispies, but with a few more steps.
Next Time: I’ll just make normal rice krispie squares adding the sprinkles to make them prettier. This recipe wasn’t worth the extra work.

Who knew boiling sweetened condensed milk for 2.5 hours made toffee? I sure didn’t. Despite having to add water all the time to keep the can under water this was easy banana cream pie.
Verdict: A perfect dessert. Not too sweet and excellent the next day too!
Next Time: I’d use a deeper pot to boil the can in so I’m not adding water every 15 minutes. But there will definitely be a next time!
I put a dab of my favorite BBQ sauce on top of the sliced potatoes after they were baked for flavor. Add cheese, bacon and onion and serve.
Verdict: They were gone before I knew it. So easy to make, and a great appetizer! I used already made bacon bits too to make it even that much easier!
Next time: I’ll make a double batch for sure!

Easy as pie as they say, and that it was!
Verdict: Really tasty! I used Spartan apples and halved everything on the recipe as I only wanted 12 pies!
Next time: I will butter the pans even more than I did as they were still tricky to get out.
In Summary
I have made more from Pinterest and will continue to use it for not only the food recipes but ideas, and if you’re not already, I warn you, Pinterest is ADDICTING!

It all sounded yummy in the tummy, for sure. I’m still trying to figure out the pinterest thing. So far, the allure is beyond me.

So many delicious things all in one place – yum!
That feta dip – oh my! Sounds amazing!!
I have pinned at least half of these recipes and I am so glad that I came across this post! Really helpful when you’ve “pinned” 500 recipes and you need someone or something to help you weed out the good from the bad. Big thanks from my household to yours!
